Classic  Reflexology

Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive, complimentary therapy.  It is based on the theory that all the systems and organs of the body are reflected in specific areas on the feet (reflex points). Applying pressure to these specific points, stimulates the nerves (over 7,000 nerves on the feet) and balances the nervous system.  The aim is to stimulate a response or reaction to the corresponding organ or system of the body, whilst creating a state of balance.

How can Reflexology help?

Reflexology treats the person as a whole by taking into account all aspects of each individual’s life style. It treats the person, not just the presenting ailments or illness.

Reflexology has shown to be effective for:

  • Stress and Anxiety
  • Sleep disorders
  • PMS
  • Headaches and Migraines
  • Fatigue
  • Oedema
  • Sinus problems
  • Assisting post-operative recovery
  • Digestive issues
  • Pregnancy
  • Infertility

* Reflexology is a complimentary therapy and does not claim to diagnose or cure problems – it aims to induce a deep sense of relaxation and encourage the body’s own healing process.  If you suspect that you may be ill, always consult your physician.

It is the unique art of massaging the feet with a carefully crafted metal bowl consisting of 3 metals – Copper, Zinc and Tin (the “healing metals”). This is combined with a manual oil massage that focuses on specific marma (acupressure) points on the feet and lower legs that may help to relieve certain conditions around the body and free the energy flow.

It is thought that Copper helps in reducing pain and inflammation, Zinc aids digestive and immune systems and Tin aids with headaches and insomnia.

Facial Rejuvenation

A stimulating yet deeply relaxing facial massage that incorporates a unique blend of ayurvedic based elements including shiatsu techniques, acupressure points and traditional oil massage. This treatment  focuses on releasing facial tension, strengthening facial contours, improving muscle tone, skin elasticity and suppleness.

Whilst many people use this as a natural anti-aging treatment, this powerful complimentary therapy is highly beneficial and may additionally assist with:

  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Relieving stress and anxiety
  • Reducing swelling and puffiness
  • Reducing tension within the facial muscles (therefore providing a natural lift).
  • Relieving sinus pressure and congestion
  • Improving circulation around the face and neck
  • Eliminating toxins

* If the priority for receiving this treatment is to improve muscle tone, then for best results it is recommended to receive the Facial Rejuvenation Massage once a week for 6 consecutive weeks as the affects are accumulative (similar to training in a gym). Once the facial muscles have reached an optimum, the sessions can follow with monthly maintenance sessions.
